The Teacher Leader–Team Lead provides instructional leadership to support implementation and continuous improvement of the district’s Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum (GVC). This role ensures alignment, collaboration, and instructional effectiveness across grade levels and content areas while maintaining active classroom practice. Teacher Leaders serve as a bridge between district curriculum expectations and building-level implementation to ensure consistency and coherence. Front line classroom leaders are essential for this work to succeed. This work is predominantly done during collaborative team meetings during the academic day. This position allows faculty to further explore career leadership opportunities.
Process for Selection:
- Applicants should submit a letter of interest and the accompanying peer letter of recommendation by April 1, 2026. The application form will allow you to upload these letters.
- Savanah Craft and the school Principal will work together to select the applicant(s). Applicants should be notified by May 1, 2026. If there is only one applicant, the supervisors may still decline.

- Salida Middle School and Crest (4 positions): English, Math, Social Studies, and Science

- For the remainder of the 25-26 school year, expectations will be discussed on May 8 and/or 15. For the 26-27 school year, approximately 70 hours will be completed primarily during collaborative contract time (some off-contract meetings required), including planning and data-entry time.
- Demonstrated peer collaboration with strong organizational and leadership skills. (A letter of recommendation is required from a current, same content, colleague as these leaders must have their peer support to be successful).
- Subject-area expertise (secondary endorsement required at the secondary level).
- Growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ensure standards alignment, identify gaps, and refine scope, sequence, and pacing.
- Meet with Teacher Leaders to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment.
- Support alignment in core content areas (district leadership oversees specials/electives GVC implementation).
- Support development, implementation, and analysis of common/benchmark assessments.
- Identify professional development needs and support Professional Growth Plan alignment.
- $3,500 annual stipend is valid for the remainder of 25-26, and 26-27. (Expectations for the remainder of the 25-26 school year will be discussed on May 8 and/or 15. The 26-27 (next year) contract will follow a set of dates that are spread out through the academic term. At least one session prior to the start of school and one session after the school year should be expected. Expect to participate in New Teacher Orientation August 2026. The team will set the dates collaboratively in June 2026.)
- Prefer more than 3 years of classroom experience.
- Ability to analyze and interpret student data.
- Maintain and update curriculum in Atlas; organize components and gather team input.
- Align instructional resources and unit/common assessments.
- Participate in district leadership and principal meetings to communicate building-level curriculum needs.
- Facilitate data teams and instructional data cycles.
- Support curriculum during New Teacher Orientation (1 day).
- Provide input connected to the district’s Teacher Evaluation System.
