Job Description:
Under the supervision of the Patrol Sergeant, performs a variety of full-performance, working-level law enforcement and non-law enforcement duties. Responds to life- and property-threatening calls. Enforces federal, state, and county ordinances to protect life, health, safety, welfare, and property. Maintains peace and order for the general public. Serves civil process for both criminal and non-criminal cases. The Reserve Patrol Deputy will participate in required training to maintain certification and be available for special event assignments such as community concerts, bike races, etc. Must be 21 years of age or older, have a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, be POST certified or certifiable, and have advanced training in investigations, evidence collection, narcotics, death investigations, and other related areas.
This position is non-exempt, hourly. This position receives special event pay of $75.00/ hour, depending on qualifications and is eligible to accrue 1 hour of sick time for every 30 hours worked, up to a maximum of 48 hours.
