General Purpose:
Performs tasks and activities related to assisting in the installation, maintenance, testing, operation and repair of the electrical distribution and generating systems of the City of Trinidad Power & Light Department. This will include but not be limited to 120 volts DC and all AC voltages from 12 up to 13,800 volts.

The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The employee is often exposed to outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock, dampness, direct sunlight, dust, pollen, insect stings and animals.

Personal computer, Microsoft Office Suite, and databases; phone; fax and copy machine.
Examples of such equipment are man lifts, line trucks, back hoes, trencher, capstan winches, hydraulic power units and associated tooling, hoisting devices, crimping devices, line location equipment, chainsaws, various hand tools, electronic troubleshooting devices, infrared cameras, and other tools associated with electrical trade.

Works under the direct supervision of the Line Crew Foreman and the Power & Light Director.
