40-hour-a-week shift $720 bonus 36 hours a week shift $648 bonus

As a Direct Support Professional, you have the incredible opportunity to serve an amazing population with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You get to help them meet their goals and learn new skills.

As a Direct Support Professional, you help people learn life skills in areas such as employment, money management, sex education, and relationship-building. In addition, you HELP people to meet their basic needs by assisting with activities of daily living, including but not limited to personal hygiene, assisting with clothes, toileting, changing, etc.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of the Direct Support Professional is to ensure the health and safety of those supported. DSPs are responsible for providing support as identified in the Individual Support Plan, and for collecting data and documenting the provision of those supports. Direct Support Professionals support individuals receiving services in their homes, place of work, community support, or day habilitation site following the Individual Service Plans (ISP), subsequent protocols, and other plans. Provide training and support in areas such as self-help skills, safety skills, hygiene skills, medication skills, food/meal skills, money skills, housekeeping skills, community skills, social skills, vocational skills, safety skills, communication skills, and healthy living skills.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a willingness to provide transportation to clients in your own vehicle.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check.
• Must be able to carry 50+ pounds. To push/pull 100+ pounds. Lift heavy objects. Stand 4+ hours per day
• Must be at least 18 years old.
