Job Description:

Custer County School District C-1 is seeking a dedicated, student-centered Elementary Teacher to join our rural, close-knit learning community. The ideal candidate is passionate about building strong relationships, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learner needs, and contributing positively to a collaborative school culture where every child is known and valued.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction in core content areas
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
• Use assessment data to inform instructional decisions
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families
• Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and school initiatives
• Support students' social-emotional development
• Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress regularly
• Contribute to the overall school community through involvement in events and activities

Qualifications

• Valid state teaching license in Elementary Education (or ability to obtain)
• Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or related field
• Strong classroom management and relationship-building skills
• Knowledge of best practices in literacy and math instruction
• Ability to work collaboratively in a small-school environment
• Commitment to equity and meeting the needs of all learners

Salary:
Certified salary is based upon degree status and years of experience.
One year of credit will be provided for each year of approved outside teaching experience.

Four-day school week (M-Th)
