Wage: $15.38- $15.50/hr.

Location: Canon City, CO.

About the Position

We are seeking a caring, energetic, and qualified Early Head Start Teacher to provide high-quality early childhood education services for infants and toddlers ages 0–3. The successful candidate will create a nurturing learning environment that promotes school readiness, supports family engagement, and follows Head Start Performance Standards.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities. 
  • Foster children's cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development. 
  • Conduct ongoing child assessments and maintain accurate documentation. 
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and engaging classroom environment. 
  • Partner with families to support children's growth and development. 
  • Participate in home visits, parent conferences, and family engagement activities. 
  • Ensure compliance with Early Head Start, state licensing, and agency requirements. 
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, specialists, and community partners.
Requirements

 

Minimum Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Infant/Toddler Development; OR 
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with Infant/Toddler endorsement and willingness to continue education. OR
  • PDIS Level 3 or higher with the willingness to pursue Associates or CDA
  • Experience working with infants and toddlers. 
  • Ability to pass background checks and meet Colorado licensing requirements.
