Primary Responsibility
Under the supervision of the local campus VP/Campus Dean or designee, the Continuing Education and Marketing Coordinator recruits, hires, and orients faculty for non-credit and continuing education courses in addition to securing necessary classroom space for non-credit courses.
The Coordinator will also regularly research community desires and need for non-credit coursework to consistently provide offerings encourage community participation.
The Coordinator will work with the College’s marketing department to ensure consistency in brand and promote through a variety of media, all aspects of the Campus’ offerings including but not limited to for-credit and non-credit courses, campus events and other special activities as needed.
Pre-requisites for Position (Qualifications Standards)
Education and experience sufficient for the rigors of the position, such as a Bachelor’s Degree and four year of experience, or equivalent education and experience necessary for the position responsibilities.
Knowledge of: technical and communications skills and methods; an ability effective writing for marketing; basic skills in Microsoft Word or related programs; use of social media for marketing purposes, graphic software and email marketing.
Ability to: be highly organized and have strong written and oral communication skills; work independently, and assist faculty in ensuring a high quality experience for students; work as and with a team as needed; research community needs regarding non-credit course desires, and best practices to provide effective learning support for faculty

The hiring pay rate is $ 34.51 per hour. Benefits include retirement contribution, annual and sick time, mental health resources, and tuition benefit. CMC utilizes a wage progression compensation model that accounts for a candidate’s skill and experience. Although a hiring rate is listed, this will be set commensurate with the successful candidate’s qualifications and in compliance with the Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.

Essential Duties
Recruiting and Hiring: Recruit, Hire and Orient non-credit faculty
Academic Operations: Manage classroom reservations and academic supplies as appropriate for all non-credit course offerings.
Course Quality: Monitor course quality through standard processes designed by the College, including conducting course observations, and providing evaluations as appropriate.
Research: Partner with the local marketing specialist and engage in other channels appropriate to determine desires and needs for non-credit course work.
Marketing and Promotion: Work with Central Services Marketing department to ensure consistency in brand and promote all aspects of college offerings including but not limited to for-credit and non-credit courses, campuses events and other special activities as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received
The local campus VP/Campus Dean or designee, and usually works within the framework of responsibilities, but may require guidance at times.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position is responsible for supervising others (community learning and continuing education faculty) in the department which includes assigning work, approving work schedules, leave time, and performance evaluation.
Special Conditions of Employment
Successful completion of a background check will be required as well as motor vehicles records report when applicable. Incumbents in this position will adhere to all safety and compliance policies of Colorado Mountain College while performing all duties assigned.
Minimal travel is required of the position, but occasionally this position will need to travel for college departmental meetings. May require some evenings to as part of ensuring course quality for the Campus’ community learning courses.
Working Conditions
This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally. Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally.
