Location: Canon City, Buena Vista or Trinidad, CO.

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer (Civil E3) to serve as the technical lead for our civil site development team. You will own the technical side of our projects, with a primary focus on commercial civil site plans, residential subdivisions, and local utility design. You will also lead a team of five engineers and drafters: setting the design approach, scheduling and assigning their workload, reviewing and mentoring their work, and making sure what leaves our office is right. A dedicated project manager handles project scope, schedules, budgets, and client communication, and business development is handled separately, so your time goes to design quality, production, and developing your team. This position can be based in any of our offices (Cañon City, Colorado Springs, Buena Vista, or Trinidad), or remotely from Pueblo until our Pueblo office opens next summer.

GOTTA HAVE IT

• Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain licensure within two months of hire.

• Six or more years of hands-on grading, drainage, and utility design experience (with strong site development expertise).

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

• Direct experience leading technical team members, managing engineers/drafters, or serving as a project lead.

BONUS POINTS

• Experience working on civil design projects in rural Colorado.

• Construction administration experience.

• Design experience specific to Colorado regulations and site conditions.

• Proficiency in water distribution modeling and design.
