Job Summary

The Cabinet Shop Technician – Mid Level (Journeyman) is a skilled professional responsible for independently performing cabinet construction and woodworking/fabrication tasks for manufactured homes at Mytikas Industries’ production facility. Cabinet Construction is the primary focus—the Journeyman Technician ensures precision, quality, and efficiency in both cabinet installation and component fabrication. This role works with minimal supervision and collaborates with production teams to meet project requirements.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Installer Tasks

Install cabinets independently in modular homes with precision and efficiency. 

Ensure proper alignment, fit, and finish, meeting design specifications. 

Collaborate with carpenters, designers, and other production teams to ensure quality installations. 

Carpenter/Fabricator/Maker Tasks

Construct wood components for cabinets independently, ensuring dimensional accuracy. 

Operate woodworking machinery and tools safely and efficiently (e.g., saws, routers, sanders). 

Ensure product quality through precise cutting, assembly, and finishing. 


General Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints and installation guidelines for both installation and fabrication tasks. Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance. 

Follow safety protocols and company standards to maintain a secure production environment. 


Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in carpentry or cabinetry preferred. 


Experience: 2–3 years of experience in cabinet installation, carpentry, or related fields, preferably in a manufacturing setting. 


Technical Skills

Proficiency in cabinet construction techniques and woodworking processes. 

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and installation guidelines. 

Knowledge of woodworking machinery, tool operation, and safety practices. 


Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and attention to detail. 

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. 

Effective communication and collaboration skills. 


Certifications: Certification in carpentry or cabinetry (e.g., AWI, CMA) preferred; OSHA safety training is a plus. 


Work Environment

On-site at Mytikas Industries’ production facility in Florence, Colorado. 

Collaborative, production-driven environment with opportunities to guide Entry-Level technicians. 

Requires adherence to safety standards and use of PPE (e.g., safety glasses, gloves, dust masks). 

Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (40 hours total). 


Career Path: This role offers opportunities for advancement to the Senior (Master) Cabinet Shop Technician position, requiring demonstrated expertise and leadership.
